General Lock Grade 2 Drive-In Spring Latch for Cylindrical Knob/Leverset
The General Lock 2SL Drive-In Spring Latch is a Grade 2 replacement latch designed for compatible cylindrical knob and lever locksets. Its drive-in configuration installs directly into a properly prepared door edge without requiring a mortised faceplate, making it a practical option for repairs, retrofits, and new door-hardware installations.
Available with either a 2-3/8-inch or 2-3/4-inch backset, the 2SL allows installers to select the correct latch depth for the door preparation. The spring-latch mechanism retracts when the knob or lever is operated and automatically extends when released, helping keep the door securely closed against the strike.
